Devils Tower National Monument is believed to be the remnant core of an extinct volcano (technically referred to as a volcanic neck).

The 1,267 ft tall rock juts from the surface of the Earth with all its grandeur.  Sure to please all geology enthusiasts and rock climbers, this attraction is a must see for anyone visiting Gillette or new to the area.
