Wyoming Chamber Partnership Launches Efforts to Educate Employees and Voters

The Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) announced today that it has reached an agreement with the Wyoming Chamber Partnership, a statewide business organization, to deploy its national grassroots and employee political education program known as Wyoming Prosperity Project; www.wyomingprosperity.org.

While Wyoming's upcoming large-scale wind farm projects have been getting much attention lately, many Wyoming ranchers and farmers are also "looking into the wind" for a solution to their rising electric costs. Advanced Energy Technology, of Cody, Wyoming, was able to help Carbon County resident Michael Kananen, who had seen a nearly 50% increase in his Beartooth Electric Co-Op rates, by installing a vertical axis wind turbine on his ranch. The Retail and Development Committee of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce launched a new promotion this week (June 11th – 13th) to coincide with the Wyoming Association of Municipalities Convention being held in Gillette. Multiple local media companies have partnered with the Gillette Chamber for “Gillette is the Place to BEE”. Basin Radio Network, The Gillette News-Record, Bresnan (in association with Western Sky Media) and Black Hills Today have put together some excellent advertising packages with one common theme… shop in Gillette.

Google Public Data Search for WY

Google recently launched a new public data search feature. Simply type "unemployment rate" or "population" into the Google search bar followed by a location (e.g. "unemployment rate wyoming").
The interface allows you to display data from multiple locations in a single graph. Google's data currently shows the unemployment rate for Campbell County as being much lower than the rest of the state and that our population has been steadily growing since 1990.
